Greater Lowell Development Program (GLDP)
As players advance they often move into the GLDP (formerly known as "In House") which includes weekly practices and occasional "games" at local rinks. Practices focus on skating and hockey skills improvement. The games are opportunities to experience team play in a fun setting with no official score keeping. Players typically range from 5 to 12. The season begins Saturday, September 30th at 10am.

Boston Bruins Learn To Play Program Fall 2017
Greater Lowell was proud to partner with the Boston Bruins and NHL in their efforts to grow the game of hockey. This 4 week program was for new hockey players and included a full set of new equipment and 4 weeks of on-ice instruction for just $100. The Greater Lowell Youth Skating Association hosted this at Janas Rink in October and November 2017. There were 50 new players who participated in the program.
A big thank you to our coaches and also Dracut High School hockey and Lowell High School hockey for their tremendous support.

We hope to run this program again in 2018!
